We at Phone Hire, based in the heart of London are wondering if we about to see ‘Apple Card’ and Apple Cash in the UK during 2021…? Is Tim Cook about to broaden his Apple Card into new markets?
Certainly, the team at Phone Hire believe that is likely and it would certainly make sense. Currently, Apple Card and Apple Cash are operational in the USA only.
Apple Cash was first to exclusively launch in the US in 2017 allowing users to send money to and from one another via iMessage and Apple Pay.
Apple Card initially launched exclusively in the US in 2019 (with no fees, a credit card and daily cashback), which then integrated into the Wallet App on an iPhone.
Since then there’s been no expansion outside the US, but Apple has applied for trademarks for both Apple Card and Apple Cash IN Canada and the UK, so it certainly suggests an entry into the UK will happen at some point.
Interestingly, code inside IOS 14.5 (we are currently operation on IOS 14.4) suggests that the Apple Card family will soon be with us. This will allow Apple Cardholders to be able to share their card with other family members enrolled in the iCloud family sharing.
This could result in introductory card offers along with a generous cashback reward system.
So, we shall see and we’ll be looking to share any news as and when Phone Hire receives it.
In the meantime, Phone Hire are able to provide a range of iPhones including the latest iPhone 12 Pro Max for short and long-term hire, so if you have any questions then please contact us on 0207 686 7345 or send us an email to: email@example.com
